On the lawn in front of Pilgrims’ Hall, Inner Close, Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 9LS

You are invited to a village fate with a comical historical twist… Some of the most famous and powerful Wintonians, and their even more powerful mothers, are excited to greet you while they get ready for a talent show never seen before in any other time or space. Blue Apple’s Special Assignments Company explore the often-hilarious consequences of being a proud mother.

Founded in 2005, Blue Apple is an ambitious theatrical company that supports performers with learning disabilities to present high quality productions to the widest possible audience – performing and touring theatre, dance and film within a variety of large- and small-scale venues. The company received considerable attention following a Channel 4 News feature about its performances at Shakespeare Globe in 2016, as well as being the subject of the acclaimed BBC-televised documentary ‘Growing Up Downs’. The Special Assignments Company is a spin-off group that specialises in devised theatre for site-specific spaces.
