Gilbert White & The Oates Collections tells the stories of three explorers of the natural world.
Gilbert White the 18th Century naturalist and writer, and Frank Oates the 19th Century Explorer and Lawrence Oates who travelled with Scott to the South Pole in 1912, as part of the tragic Terra Nova Expedition.
On Thursday 13th September only you can experience this diverse and newly renovated museum for free and get the chance to look at artefacts not usually on display. There will also be an opportunity as part of the Extraordinary Women series to hear stories about the amazing women that featured in these explorer's lives.
