Join us for a tour to explore the history of the University and its buildings, with a special focus on sustainability. The tour will look at some RIBA, Civic Trust and Winchester City Trust award winning buildings. PRE-BOOKING ESSENTIAL.
This guided tour is a unique opportunity to explore the University’s beautiful, award-winning campus which is a hub of knowledge, creativity and innovation for the City of Winchester and beyond.
The tour will take in key buildings, including the recently restored and RIBA award-winning Victorian Chapel, the main building (constructed in 1862), and more recent buildings such as the University Centre, The Stripe and St Alphege. All of our recent developments meet the highest environmental standards. They feature a number of eco-friendly innovations such as natural ventilation, energy-efficient lighting, air source heat pumps, solar panels and a wildflower roof.

Please note the University campus is built on the side of a hill, there are steps and some steep climbs.
Max 20 people per tour/session. Tours will take approximately 90 minutes.
Guided tours will begin and end at the University Main reception. If you have booked on the tour please meet outside Main Reception five minutes before the start of the tour. Unfortunately there is no parking available on site, however the University is well served by Winchester's Park and Ride (Pitt and South Winchester) and the no5 bus from Winchester City Centre.
