'Winchester: Then and Now' Exhibition

The Heritage Centre, 32 Upper Brook Street, Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 8DG

Early photographs of Winchester from the Trust archives are displayed alongside current photographs, illustrations & watercolours of the same views. Discover how much has changed & what is still familiar. A selection of illustrations will be on sale.

The City of Winchester Trust has an extensive archive of early photographs of the city of Winchester. Many paint a detailed picture of how much Winchester has changed over the last century, and yet others record views that are barely changed today. The Trust has highlighted these similarities and differences by displaying a selection of its archive photos next to the images of the same scenes today, using current photographs and specially commissioned illustrations and watercolours. A selection of the illustrations and watercolours is offered for sale.

The exhibition will take place at The Heritage Centre, 32 Upper Brook Street, and will be open from 10am to 4pm throughout the four days.
