Discover the fascinating history of the Royal Hampshire County Hospital and take a tour around the beautiful Barter Memorial Chapel.

Rarely open to the public, this is a unique opportunity to explore the original hospital chapel designed by William Butterfield and it’s beautiful stained glass windows. There will also be an opportunity to learn more about the history of the Royal Hampshire County hospital, see historical artefacts, including Florence Nightingale’s lamp, and take a look at photographs through the ages.

Booking Details:
Priority will be given to those who have pre-booked, so we highly recommend booking in advance to ensure places on your preferred tour.

Access Information:
No children under 12 years of age. Part of the tour is only accessible by steep stairs and unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users and people with limited mobility.

Additional Information:
Max 15 people per tour/session. Tours are every 30 minutes, and last around 30 minutes.

Directions:
Visitors for the tour should report to the main reception at Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
