Come and hear poetry especially written to celebrate ‘Extraordinary Women’ organised and presented by poet, Sue Wrinch and Loose Muse Winchester in the beautiful setting of St Lawrence.
‘Loose Muse Winchester’ are a group of talented and inspiring local writers, and who are on Sunday 16th September, as part of this year's 'Extraordinary Women' series and Heritage Open Days, going to sharing some specially written work for one performance only. Expect a diverse mix of original and inspiring poetry, including some favourites works and works written about Winchester’s amazing historical sites.
All the poets are regular readers at ‘Loose Muse’ , a monthly writer’s event at the Discovery Centre where they have honed their talented in the the Open Mic sessions. Many of our poets have had poems published in journals, poetry magazines or online and a few have already had collections published. All of these talented writers feature in the recently published and highly successful, ‘Loose Muse Winchester Poetry Anthology’.
Come and hear what makes these poets so special, and enjoy their poetry in the beautiful surroundings of St Lawrence Church, the only surviving church of Norman foundation within the City walls.

Max 100 people per tour/session. Performance of about 1 hour. Please note St Lawrence will open daily over the festival, and there will be other events taking place on the Saturday. Please see separate entry for more details.
