Go behind the scenes at Hampshire Record Office and discover the work which takes place to preserve Hampshire’s documentary heritage. See how we preserve and repair damaged documents in our conservation department and have a glimpse of our climate-controlled strongrooms. There will also be a chance to view a small display of documents about food and drink, and in the garden you will find our pop-up cinema which will be showing a rolling loop of archive
● Saturday 21 September: Tours at 1100 and 1400
These tours are very popular so book early to ensure a place. Box office opens mid July for those on our supporters mailing list, and on 7th August for the general public.
Disabled parking needs to be booked in advance as there are only 2 spaces. The tour will include going up several flights of stairs, although there is a lift which can be used. Hampshire Archives can only accommodate two individuals with mobility issues on each tour.
Max 15 people per tour/session. Tour lasts approx 45 minutes.
