The Bombay Sapphire Distillery based at Laverstoke Mill in a leafy conservation area astride the River Test, is just 15miles from Winchester. This historic site was once a Georgian and Victorian paper mill, which produced all the bank notes for the Bank of England and the British Empire. Laverstoke Mill is now the production centre for all Bombay Sapphire gin.
On our Self Discovery Experience you can explore the distillery with a map, listening to audio points throughout. Across the distillery's sprawling Victorian architecture, you can learn about the history of gin, Laverstoke Mill and Bombay Sapphire.
You can discover the Vapour Infusion distillation process in the Dakin Still House, wander through the Botanical Dry Room. and breathe in the ten exotic minerals used to make Bombay Sapphire so unique. Laverstoke Mill's centrepiece is two magnificent intertwining glasshouse - a dazzling feat of architecture constructed from over 700 individual panes of glass - no two are the same. Each tour is finished with a Cocktail i the Mill bar, which can be selected from the individual taste profile you put together in the Botanical Dry Room, making the experience specially tailored to you.
