Starting from Kingsgate Arch, Kingsgate Street, Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 9PD
This is a historical walk led by Marjorie Huntley, commencing at Kingsgate Arch and proceeding chronologically. We will explore medieval ruins of Wolvesey Palace, the 17th century gardens of the present palace, College Street, the frontage of Winchester College, Jane Austen's House (where she resided in Winchester), Pilgrim's Hall, Kingsgate Arch and St Swithun's church.
Kingsgate Village is a gem, and whose history encapsulates the ecclesiastical and political history of Winchester.

There are cobbles on the walk, and potential for muddy paths so please wear suitable footwear. This is a walking tour of around one hour duration.
