Cookies

Cookies are pieces of data, normally stored in text files, that websites place on visitors' computers to store a range of information, usually specific to that visitor - or rather the device they are using to view the site - like the browser or mobile phone. Cookies are integral to the way modern websites work.

Most of our cookies on our website were set up automatically by SquareSpace to enable our website to function and to enable us to understand how people use our website. This is a SquareSpace website, by using this website you agree to the SquareSpace cookies. These cookies cannot be used to identify you personally, but they may perform the following tasks;

  • Enable our website to recognise your device so you don’t have to give the same information several times during one task and/or are directed to the right page

  • Measuring how many people are using our website

YouTube and Google also place cookies on the website. Some of these cookies have variable presence, and they may be used to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites. They do not store directly personal information, but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device. We have set them not to track, but you can also review which ones you’d like to run.

Should you not wish to use the website at all then non digital versions of our programme will be available from Winchester Tourist Information in the weeks preceding the festival. And we will be hosting an 'in person’ box office the week before.

Links to other websites

We may from time to time in our communications or on this website include links to other websites that will enable you to access their websites directly.

Each company, organisation or public body operates its own policy regarding the sale of personal data and the use of cookies. If you have a particular interest in, or concern regarding the way your data will be used then you are advised to read the Privacy Statement on the relevant website.

We will only link to websites which we believe will be of interest and relevant to you, but please note that such third party websites are not under our control and we do not contribute to the content of such websites.

When you click through to any of these websites you leave the area controlled by Winchester Heritage Open Days. We cannot accept responsibility for any issues arising in connection with the third party’s use of your data, the website content or the services offered to you by these websites.
