The Pompey Pals Project originally unveiled its Memorial Wall at Fratton Park on 4th August 2014, the centenary of the start of the First World War commemorating the Pompey Pals, 14th and 15th Battalions Hampshire Regiment who served with distinction on the Western Front. We now commemorate the men and women who have served the country since the First World War in times of conflict, concentrating on the personal stories of the people involved, both military and civilian, from Portsmouth and the surrounding areas.
