Enjoy a day exploring the home of writer and naturalist Gilbert White for free!
Gilbert White (1720-1793) was a writer and naturalist whose work changed the way we look at the natural world. Explore his Hampshire home, beautiful garden, and brewhouse.
The site is also home to the Oates collections, which tell the stories of Frank Oates, a naturalist and explorer, and Captain Lawrence Oates, who reached the South Pole in 1912.
All this and a fabulous café are on site, too.
