Fort Widley is a Palmerston Fort built in 1869 - but it's also a working Fort.
Home to the Peter Ashley Activity Centres for the Equestrian Centre, community events, rental and more!
This iconic landmark was part of Palmerston's defenses initiated in anticipation of a war with France.
Join our guided tour through areas of the Fort to witness the amazing architecture and heritage.
There will be areas of uneven surfaces, inclines and steps.
(This 'taster tour' will not include the Cold War Bunker)

The Fort is a Historical Scheduled Monument and Grade 2 Listed Building which is protected under law. Its design and age dictate that there are areas of uneven floor, steps and ramps, and dimly lit areas. Please consider this carefully if you are of limited mobility.
