Travel Through History on the King Alfred Autumn Bus Running Day

On Sunday 13 September, as part of Winchester Heritage Open Days, the Friends of King Alfred Buses will once again bring the city's transport heritage to life with their popular Autumn Bus Running Day.

Visitors can enjoy free rides aboard a fleet of beautifully restored vintage buses operating from Winchester Broadway and travelling along historic routes once served by the original King Alfred bus company.

Whether you're a transport enthusiast, a family looking for a unique day out, or simply exploring the festival, these historic buses offer a memorable way to travel between Winchester and surrounding villages while experiencing a piece of the city's living heritage.
