Winchester
Heritage Open Days 2026
Theme: Everyday Histories
Friday 11th - Sunday 20th September 2026
Discover hidden places, remarkable stories, historic buildings, walks, talks, tours and family events across Winchester. All part of England’s largest festival of history and culture.
Heritage Open Days (HODs) provides the general public with amazing opportunities to discover new places and explore Hampshire’s incredible history, architecture, gardens and heritage.
It also gives a real boost to the local economy and enables businesses, charities, educational establishments and heritage organisations to showcase their venues, services and products!
Please note all the events are organised and run by local individuals, groups and organisations. Events are not assessed in detail by the national coordinators, nor in most cases by Hampshire History Trust either. For more information on safeguarding refer to our terms and conditions.
